Is red light therapy safe for people with arthritis?Updated 16 days ago
Red light therapy is generally considered safe for people with arthritis and may offer meaningful relief. Studies suggest that red and near-infrared light can help reduce inflammation in joints, improve circulation, and decrease stiffness and pain associated with both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Treatment is typically applied directly over the affected joint areas for 10–15 minutes per session. As with any health condition, we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before beginning red light therapy, especially if you are on immunosuppressant medications.
